The Pieta had made it's way from the 1950's to a vitrine in Hungary, and from there, to an antique shop where Gabor my friend figured it was one of those treasures ...

At  Icon Klub there they are: Buddha raising his hand "No Fighting", while Mary mourns the loss of her son.
Christianity and Buddhism in harmony.

Buddha never claimed to be worshiped yet he is. Mary... she got herself into a saga when she had baby Jesus. Jesus -Son of God- on the other hand got himself into trouble when his teachings were taken literally. He didn't say "blow up the temple" ... somehow people take everything literally when it comes to religion.

The recent news from Paris made me think of how our beliefs shape our actions. Allah, God, Buddha and the Brahma gods and goddesses are in the same position: "unavailable".

Both, Islam and Christian-ism believes that "everything that happens is Allah's/God's will. Both believe that God will be their judge, or witness, "who will be merciful toward followers depending on the sufficiency of their life's good works and religious devotion". A follower's relationship with Allah/God is master and servant. Even though Christianity believes in a loving God the entity seems to be a fan of tough love. Both honor their prophets/saints , both follow religious duties, and repeat prayers... : one uses beads, the other, rosary. Undeniable that these elements of religion is shared by both -if not all- world religions, under the umbrella of various interpretations of the divine. They only differ in interpreting the teachings, so for real, it is the mind that creates all this bullshit in total abandonment of human values...

Why fight?

In Hinduism, whatever happens is karmic.

Why Fight?

In Buddhism, it's the consequence of our actions.

“Those whom God wishes to destroy he drives mad.”

“Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity.”
― George Carlin

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.”
― Jimi Hendrix
